Vasquez Rocks, Climbing Through History
You may not recognize the name – Vasquez Rocks – but I’m sure you are familiar with and have probably even seen the rock formations. Vasquez Rocks is a very recognizable location as it has been on television, in music videos and in movies dating all the way back to the silent film days. You could say it’s been climbing through history.

Vasquez Rocks is actually part of the Vasquez Rocks County Park located in Southern California. It has often been said that it is THE nature place to visit in the Santa Clarita Valley. Why?
First off, it is easy to get there. The rock formations are great for climbing on and photographing. It’s a nice area for hiking and during the cooler months you can even get a guided tour from one of the rangers. Besides, what’s better than getting out and connecting up with nature?
