The Hand of the Desert in Atacama Chile
If you’ve never seen it, you probably won’t believe it. There, in the middle of nowhere, is a hand reaching out of the desert sand. Yes, a hand. Standing a full 11-meters tall, this man-made sculpture has a big impact on anyone who sees it. Watching tourists who have driven in to capture pictures of themselves standing in front of the hand of the Atacama Desert, Chile is a sight to be seen. You can all but see the calculations going through their mind to figure out how big the body that belongs to this giant hand would be.
