Stunning Magnolia Trees In All Their Glory
There is something truly stunning about a magnolia tree. You can’t help but smile when you see its beautiful flowers blooming and smell their fragrant blossoms. Grown widely in Asia and the Eastern United States, the first magnolias apparently dates back to China as early as the 7th century. It is a truly international flower.

The White House has had beautiful magnolia trees decorating their lawn since the mid 1800s, when President Andrew Jackson brought a magnolia sprout from his home to be planted at the White House in honor of his late wife. The “Jackson Magnolia” had held sentimental value to many Presidents throughout the years.
So much so that it has been said that President Franklin D. Roosevelt and Winston Churchill apparently sat underneath the old Magnolia tree. Also from 1928 to 1988 the back side of the $20 dollar bill showed an image of the Jackson Magnolia standing alone just southwest of the White House.
In Japan, magnolias are used for wrapping up foods and serving with certain dishes. Traditional Chinese medicine has been using the bark of the magnolia tree for centuries. Seibold’s Magnolia is North Korea’s national flower. Even pop culture has taken a fancy to the magnolia with many songs named after the beautiful flower.
Just take a look at these beautiful magnolia trees in all their glory and you’ll see why they have become so popular though time.
