Peter the Great and 300 Years of Russian Fleet
The Moskva River runs through the center of Moscow, right near the Kremlin. Standing tall in the middle of the river is a monument representing 300 Years of Russian Fleet. It is a representation of Peter the Great (Peter I) at the wheel of a ship. Although controversy has surrounded the monument, it has become a widely recognized landmark and staple in amongst the stunning architecture and beautiful cityscape of Moscow, Russia.
