Leave Your Shoes at the Door
There’s a tradition in my family, we always leave our shoes at the door. It’s nothing new, we’ve always done it. My grandparents did it and their grandparents did it. As soon as we step onto the porch, we remove our shoes and head inside. My mom said it was because our shoes scuffed the hardwood floors. However, my grandmother always said it kept the bad out and let only the good inside. All I know is I’m not about to tempt fate, so please, leave your shoes at the door.
