The word Kwanzaa is apparently derived from a Swahili phrase meaning “first fruits of the harvest”. It is a celebration of the Seven Principles of Kwanzaa: unity, self-determination, collective work and responsibility, cooperative economics, purpose, creativity and faith.
For all those who celebrate Kwanzaa, we wish you a happy and joyous holiday.
