Active, bubbling tar pits in the heart of Los Angeles? It's true. As you make your way down Wilshire Blvd, not too far from the Miracle Mile, you will find yourself surrounded by towering office buildings, high end shops and famous art museums. But if you look closely, you will also see the La Brea Tar Pits...mammoths and all.
